Broward County Incentives

The Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD) is primarily responsible for enhancing the economy of Broward County by recruiting new industry, supporting existing industries, and creating new value-added employment opportunities. Its mission is to promote job growth, diversify the County's industrial mix, and expand the local tax base.

OESBD also provides technical assistance to businesses in Broward County that seek assistance with funding to establish or expand operations. Resources used to accomplish this objective include: Microbusiness Loans, SBA 7(a) and 504 Program Assistance, Industrial Revenue Bond Program (IRB) and Alternative Lending Programs.

Broward County Job Growth Incentive

The incentive is a direct cash incentive paid to new or existing companies creating jobs in excess of 115% of the County's average annual wage. This program requires the joint participation of Broward County and the municipality in which the company is or will be located. Companies could receive up to $2,000 per new job created to a maximum Broward County contribution of $200,000 per company. For additional information, please visit http://www.broward.org/EconDev/.
