From Fine Art to Fine Timepieces - Dream Fine Art to Offer Piece of History

A business with a history in Downtown Hollywood will soon be offering a piece of history from Hollywood, CA, with fine timepieces crafted with metal from the original Hollywood Sign that was erected in 1923 and replaced in 1979. The new Hollywood Watch Company is a sister company of leading online gallery Dreams Fine Art, which has its administrative offices at 1930 Harrison Street and its fulfillment center at 230 N. Dixie Highway. Dreams' founder and CEO Hossam Antar's newest venture will introduce watches that evoke a sense of the history, fashion and taste of the "Golden Age of Hollywood," with a watch case reminiscent of a classic 1930s spotlight, a dial bearing a subtle outline of an old film reel, and numbers in the Art Deco style of the '30s and '40s. The metal from the original Hollywood Sign will be prominently featured on the dial.

Dreams Fine Art is authorized to represent hundreds of artists, reputable fine art publishing houses and dealers, and every piece is guaranteed to be authentic. "Our main goal is to deliver excellent artwork at the best possible price, and offer the best possible service," said Michael Tylor, Dreams Fine Art's business development consultant. "We work with some of the best and most talented artists, both established and up-and-coming." The extensive selection of limited-edition and original artworks features some of the most influential artists in history, such as Salvador Dalí, Erté and Pablo Picasso, as well as notable contemporary artists that include Peter Max, LeRoy Neiman, Romero Britto, Jean-Pierre Straub, Wyland and Disney Fine Art. Dreams Fine Art also works with several South Florida artists, including Adam Scott Rote and Paulina del Mar and street-artist Smog One.

For Antar, establishing Dreams Fine Art's administrative offices and fulfillment center in the historic downtown arts, music and entertainment district was a natural move. "He always liked Hollywood. He liked the central location between Fort Lauderdale and Miami," Tylor said. "It just made sense for him."
