The City of Hollywood, in partnership with OIC of South Florida, is offering Work Skills Training Scholarships to eligible Hollywood residents. The 11-week course provides FREE in-depth vocational training, preparing participants for entry-level positions on their career path.
Courses will be held on Saturdays through the months of July 16 to September 24, from 9am-4pm at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center located at 2400 Charleston Street, Hollywood FL, 33020.

Upon completion of the course, potential positions and salaries include:
Hand Laborer & Material Mover - $27,710
Packing Specialist - $25,910
Shipping & Receiving Clerk - $29,699
Only those applicants residing within the City's low to moderate-income (LMI) neighborhoods may participate in the Work Skills Training Scholarship Program. All submitted applications will go through an address verification process to ensure that participants meet this program requirement. Participants must also self-certify household income and provide proof of their U.S. Citizen or legal resident status.
